Our baby birds have been raised with optimal physical, emotional and mental health in mind. These young Macaw Chicks were incubated and hatched in an incubator by us. Simulating natural raising as much as possible we hydrate with electrolytes and probiotics for the first stages of life. All our babies are then hand raised on Higgins Intune High Energy hand rearing formula. The highest quality, most natural hand raising diet available. Young birds are kept together rather than singly to develop good social skills, emotional balance and well-being – basically this makes sure they know they are a bird. Babies are weaned onto a high-end diet of quality sprouted seed, fresh veges & fruit and Higgins InTune Natural pellets completing an all-round nutrient balance.
Macaws make spectacular pets, they are intelligent, with a big personality and comical charm. They are easily trained and have some ability to talk. They are a large, stunning bird and require high levels of mental stimulation. They are suitable for the advanced levels of experienced bird owners.
We take hand raising parrots seriously following modern avicultural ‘best practices’. We have a focus on only high end nutrition and the birds utmost health and welfare in mind in all decisions.
Available to approved homes only. Previous bird experience essential, and a commitment to quality time spent, exercise and nutrition for our birds going forward will be necessary.
Lifetime support and a bag of Higgins InTune Natural pellets will be offered to all new bird owners. Once weaned this Macaw can be flown to any airport at new owners expense
