Come on down to Jump Jive and Shout the lively, fun friendly jive party night with retro dj and vinyl queen Jeniffer Jackson spinning some of the very best in sizzlin’ retro and vintage sounds that swing. Pulsating, energy driven 1940s and 50s rhythm n blues, jump jive, doo wop, blues shouters and more. Dymanic sounds that rocked the juke boxes, rent parties, gin houses and juke joints all over Amercia and laid the foundations for what would later become known as “rock ‘n’ roll.
Join us as we celebrate the sounds from some of the true greats like Louis Jordan, Big Joe Turner, Little Richard, Ruth Brown, Amos Milburn, Lucky Millinder, Ike Turner, The Chords and others.
Always a great night out, lively, welcoming and informal with live music from special guest the brilliant guitarist/vocalist Sixteen (of Sixteen and the Sidewinders/King Mob) making his debute appearance at Jump Jive and Shout with a thrilling live show that evokes the feel of Elvis the Comeback Special and includes rockin’ material from Merle Travis, R. L. Burnside and others. Rockabilly, rock 'n' roll and rockin' blues performed the way they did it back then with guts, power, life, feeling, passion and attitude.
