If you have seen this organisation (they call themselves a Union) advertising on Bus Shelters.
This 'Buissness' advertises:
Facing Eviction.
Landlord/Council not doing repairs.
Join your local Branch and take Action!
When phoned it was revealed that they cannot do or give Legal Advise, but just Protest!
Though even to do that comes at a Financial Price!
Before meeting them, one has to sign up and pay a Fee. All done over the phone!
And even if You do that, it was admitted, that it wasn't for certain they would take up your cause/problem as they had too many other Nembers and their issues.
Or put another way- they cannot deal with all the problems they are presented with.
So they want One, to Pay a Fee, though You may not even get served!
This Union is to be avoided. Just like another 'Union' called: London Renters Union.
They are another London 'Buissness' that is there to exploit those who are having Housing Problems with Corrupt Landlord or Council's.
Those on low income or Benefits.
